The project VIRTUAL MUSEUM resulted from the cross-border cultural cooperation and joint work of the National Museum in Nis and the Regional Historical Museum in Pernik. Using modern technology, this project will allow the implementation of part of cultural heritage in the global communications network. The main objective of the project is to form a unified information network through which to jointly promote cultural heritage, and to create the basis for a modern technological system through which to make the cultural heritage of the region available to all audiences .
The main result – digitized traditional costumes and jewelry shown in 3D technology with the appropriate accompanying text will be displayed on a joint Web portal of both museums.
The introduction of new technology enables an efficient display of cultural material wealth and development of museum activities.
